The Woodlawn Christian Church is within two miles of downtown Knoxville and less than 3 miles from the James White Parkway exits of Interstate 40. Its central location makes it easy to get to from almost any part of Knoxville and the surrounding area. While the majority of our members live south of the river, families from North, East, and West Knoxville have found a church home here as well. From Seymour ...

  1. From Boyd's Creek Highway, turn north on Chapman Highway toward downtown Knoxville and go 10 miles.
  2. Turn right onto Woodlawn Pike at the South Knoxville Brach Library.
  3. Go 0.4 miles to the church on the left. 

From East Knoxville via I-40 ...

  1. Take I-40 W toward downtown Knoxville and go past the Cherry Street and Broadway exits.
  2. Take Exit 388-A to the James White Parkway. Note that it exits from the left lane of the interstate!
  3. Follow the signs for James White Parkway, bearing left at the fork.
  4. The parkway ends at a stop sign; turn right onto Sevierville Pike.
  5. Almost immediately, turn left onto Woodlawn Pike at the traffic light.
  6. Go 0.3 miles and the church is on the right.

From West Knoxville via I-40 ...

  1. Take I-40 E toward downtown Knoxville.
  2. Take the US-441 S/Henley Street exit (Exit 388) toward downtown.
  3. Merge onto US-441 S/TN-71 S toward Henley Street and the University of Tennessee.
  4. Go 2.6 miles and turn left onto Young High Pike at the Captain D's restaurant.
  5. Go 0.3 miles to the church on the left at the intersection of Young High and Woodlawn Pike.

From Johnson University ...

  1. Take Kimberlin Heights Road SW about 2 miles until it meets Hendron's Chapel Road and continue SW on Hendron's Chapel about 3 miles to Chapman Highway. Turn right toward downtown Knoxville.
  2. Take Chapman Highway 5 miles and turn right onto Woodlawn Pike at the South Knoxville Brach Library.
  3. Go 0.4 miles to the church on the left.

From the University of Tennessee ...

  1. Take Cumberland Avenue toward downtown Knoxville.
  2. Turn right on Henley Street at the Knoxville Convention Center.
  3. Go 2 miles and turn left on Young High Pike at the Captain D's restaurant.
  4. Go 0.3 miles to the church on the left at the intersection of Young High and Woodlawn Pike.

From McGee Tyson Airport ...

  1. Follow the Alcoa Highway/US 129 N signs to Knoxville, passing the UT Hospital and Agriculture Campus.
  2. Highway 129 feeds into I40. Bear right, taking I40 East for about 1 mile.
  3. Take the US-441 S/Henley Street exit (Exit 388) toward downtown.
  4. Merge onto US-441 S/TN-71 S toward Henley Street and the University of Tennessee.
  5. Go 2.6 miles and turn left onto Young High Pike at the Captain D's restaurant.
  6. Go 0.3 miles to the church on the left at the intersection of Young High and Woodlawn Pike.
